I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my very first book signing on Fountain Square. Who would have thought they would have seen the day that a bedroom set would be placed dead center on South Square in Conservative Cincinnati – it truly looked like a scene taken directly from the cover of Pure Romance Between the Sheets. After meeting with a couple local reporters to update them on the latest ventures at Pure Romance, I took my place at a beautiful desk surrounded by white lattices. To my excitement, there was already a line wrapping around the square waiting to meet me and have a copy of their book signed; I halfway assumed that the line would simmer down, but to my surprise and excitement, the line not only got longer but stayed that way well past the scheduled end of the signing. My staff was sweating bullets anxious to get me over to Duke Energy where I was set to be on stage in less than an hour, but I was determined to give every single person the time and attention they deserved after their long and patient wait. I would have stayed until midnight if that meant that every book would be signed that day. What a wonderful feeling to have so many people turn out to show their support – I can’t thank all of you who attended enough!

There was such an overwhelming demand that I ended up signing books through lunch every day throughout the rest of our Annual Training and to see the excitement on all of our Consultants’ faces was well worth every single second. One Consultant had a stack of books so high that I had to peer around the pile just to make eye contact! Between the success of our Training and the turnout at all of the book signings I am truly on cloud nine this week. I can’t wait to do my 2nd book signing in Atlanta this week where I’ll be posted at 7:30pm in the Barne’s & Noble in Buckhead. Hope to see many of you there!

It’s only Wednesday and my life just seems to keep getting busier and busier! Today, I did a pre-taped radio interview with the Jeff & Jen Morning Show at Q-102; compared to the barrage of radio interviews yesterday it was much more my style – I’ve always enjoyed doing radio interviews in studio and face-to-face mainly because it’s so much more personal that way. I also have another interview with Q102 at Party in the Park tomorrow to promote my very first book signing this Thursday at Fountain Square.

Oh, and speaking of Thursday, did I mention that over 2,000 Consultants will be traveling to Cincinnati to attend our Annual Training at the Duke Energy Center?! This event is so amazing because it provides classes to enhance their knowledge on sexual health as a whole. Did you know that 90% of women who go to their health care providers intending to ask a question about intimacy or their sexual health chicken out by the time they get there? Many of these women are actually coming to our Consultants for answers and although we always encourage them to go their health care providers, we want to make sure the information they can provide is always 100% accurate.

That’s why this event still excites me after all of these years! I am so lucky because I can actually say that when it comes to Pure Romance, instead of feeling burnt out, the “thrill is far from gone”; not many people are fortunate enough to know that they are EXACTLY where they are supposed to be. I still find every day to be a new and challenging experience that truly makes me look forward to what tomorrow has to bring!

I am getting very excited as we are putting the final touches on our big event this week – our national training in Pure Romance’s hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. We have over 2,000 women from across the country coming in town for our 3-day annual training seminar. One of the special events we have planned is a book signing on Fountain Square (the center of all social events in downtown Cincinnati) – my first of several planned. With a fun boudoir design – it will hopefully grab attention from the downtown work crowd.

Together with Barnes & Noble we will be on the square from 3-5pm on Thursday, August 14th selling and signing books. The book signing is open to the public and with each book purchase you will receive a free Between the Sheets bed spray. This sheet spray is one of my personal favorites and the name was the inspiration behind my book title. I hope to see you there!

Well, I went out of town this weekend to go shopping with my daughter-in-law for her 30th birthday. We stopped in a Barnes & Noble and there it was in front of my eyes, like Christmas morning, my book was sitting there perched on the Self Help shelves. It was as if the skies parted and the sun was shining brightly down directly onto the pink book cover. You can’t imagine the excitement as I walked (okay, maybe ran) over to the shelf to see if my eyes were telling the truth. Ah, let the choir sing, it is finally here!

On top of the amazing feeling of accomplishment, it was at that point that I realized my voice will be heard. As you probably already know, it has been my dream to educate and empower women; to give them the permission to take control of their sexual health.

I was so thrilled I nearly wet my pants; I rushed to the bathroom as the excitement was almost too much to handle. A few minutes later, as I was making my way out the gigantic bookstore, down at the bottom of the escalator I saw a woman standing there waiting to check out, she was holding my book in her hands. With the hundreds of book choices, I was so flattered that she chose mine. It was at that moment that I wished I had a crystal ball and could see her future and how my book will hopefully change her life forever!

The book will begin making its way to book stores all over the nation and now will be available for purchase both online and in stores. With the amazing pre-order book sales, I can only hope that Between the Sheets will make it into the hands of thousands of women across the country. And after reading this book, every woman will have the information they need to improve their sexual health and the intimacy with themselves and their significant other.
