Take a Breath, Take Care of Yourself

The author of the statement, “May you live in interesting times,” probably didn’t have the last few weeks in mind when writing it. Be that as it may, this is where we are in our history and “interesting” doesn’t begin to describe the issues we are facing now.

As you have heard, Pure Romance is moving its annual World Conference from its March date to late July. Because we have Consultants scheduled to travel from around the country as well as from around the world, we feel it is in the best interests of everyone to postpone our conference.

This decision was not made in haste: We talked with many health professionals, as well as with our Consultants, before deciding to move back the date. Please know that the health, safety and well being our Consultants, guests and staff are our top priorities.

We want to emphasize that, even though we are moving the World Conference date, that this is not a time to panic, but to be cautious. We want everyone to feel safe about traveling and being in large gatherings, and we feel it is in the best interests of all attendees to move the conference to a time when more guests will feel comfortable about traveling.

As small business owners, our Consultants know how to adapt to change: Parties are moved, orders are revised, schedules are altered. You are skilled on turning on a dime! That’s why I know you will understand our reasons and will adjust to the World Conference move.

As for the threat of illness, this is a time for all of us to stay vigilant, but stay positive. Simple hygiene practices will go a long way in keeping you and your family safe. Washing hands, covering sneezes, bumping elbows instead of shaking hands may seem small individually, but collectively these practices can help prevent the spread of germs and viruses.

We at Pure Romance are taking the advice of health professionals, but locally and nationally, and we suggest you do the same. Take care of yourself, and watch for more updates from Pure Romance on the rescheduled World Conference. We can’t wait to see you this summer!
