Giving From the Heart

With the holiday season upon us, I wanted to post my first video blog on what this time of year means to me. I look forward to reading your comments and hope it will shed light on what I feel is one of the most important lessons this time of year: it’s not the gifts that make it special, it’s about the time spent with your loved ones. Enjoy!

I agree totally. My mother was the most giving soul. She passed it along to me. (Not tooting my own horn) She always told me that my heart was bigger than me. Every year for Christmas we would find a family and buy things for them. Such a rewarding experience to see the surprise on their faces. I’ve continued that tradition, except for last year when things were a bit tight. I even try to help out continuously throughout the year as well. It’s nice to receive, but so much more rewarding giving. Wishing you and yours the Merriest of Christmas. And rewarding blessings to you and your family. Thanks for all you do for all of the Pure Romance family!

Patty, i love hearing your stories of how much you have over-come. Family is soo important and the reason the holiday is my favorite as well. This year I had to ask for assistance in getting my children gifts and thanks to the values instilled in my children, the older 2 said not to get them gifts. They said they’d be happy just having everyone together. Due to my past I only have 2 out of 4 of my kids living with me full time so togetherness is very Important to all of us. I am in the beginning phases to modifying the custody of the other 2 and we get to celebrate the fact that the end is in site. I get to celebrate gratitude and the presence of all 4 of my kids together for the first time in 3 years! God is good. Again, thank you for sharing your values with us.

Each day I so have the opportunity to spend each day with my two grandsons, who are now teens, it has been a most blessed journey, seeing them go from little ones to teens. Life is good, and now it is marvelous meeting all my new friends from Pure Romance, the love and the acceptance is Priceless…
